LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The province’s No. 1 top most wanted person was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for alleged murder in his reported hideout at Tanap, Sumadel, Tinglayan, Kalinga Wednesday.
Police Col. Lyndon Mencio, provincial director of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested wanted individual as Shaolin Dangiwan Baawa, 42, single, labourer and a resident and native of Tanap, Sumadel, Tinglayan, Kalinga.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Emmanuel Cacho Rasing of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 10 in La Trinidad, Benguet for the crime of murder with no bail recommended for his temporary liberty.
The arrested wanted person was brought to the Itogon Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case that was filed against him.
Mencio commended the operating troops led by Itogon Municipal Police Station chief Police Maj. Rommel Sawatang for the successful arrest of the province’s top most wanted person who had been hiding from the long arms of the law over the past several years.
