LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – With the theme “Tayo para sa Paaralang ligtas, Maayos at handa mula kindergarten hanggang Senior High School”, the Schools Division of Benguet Praise Committee recognised the best Brigada Eskwela (BE) School Implementers in the last concluded Search for Best Brigada Eskwela recently at the Adivay Hall here.
Among the different secondary schools in Benguet, Ampusongan National High School (NHS)-Main clinched first place in the Exceptional School category while Camp 30 NHS garnered first place in the small school category. Other awardees for the small school are Atok NHS as 1st runner-up followed by Loacan NHS in 2nd place, and Balili NHS, Mankayan in 3rd place. Tublay School of Home Industries-Main captured first place in the big school category followed by Loo NHS as 1st runner-up, Lepanto NHS as 2nd and Alejo M. Pacalso NHS of Itogon in 3rd place.
Each winning schools received a plaque of recognition and incentives for short-term scholarship from the NIIT, Baguio City.
Brigada Eskwela is an annual school event of the Department of Education to prepare the school facilities for the opening of classes through the joint effort of teachers, parents, and stakeholders through clean-up, repair, renovation, and other such needed improvements of school facilities.
For this school year, the Search for Best Brigada Brigada School Implementer had three categories. These are small school category, big school category, and the exceptional school category which could either be classified as big or small school category.
