PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong”Marcos, Jr. said seeing the country unite behind the common cause of uplifting the nation is the greatest gift Filipinos will receive this Christmas.
In a statement, Marcos Jr. said his latest travel to Cebu with his running mate Vice Presidential bet Mayor Inday Sara Duterte where they were greeted by thousands of adoring supporters gives him hope that the unity being shown by the people will usher the country to a brighter future.
“Talagang masayang-masaya ang pakiramdam namin dahil bukod sa napakasayang mga pagtanggap eh pag pinagsama ninyo ang kulay naming pula at berde, Merry Christmas na nga talaga,” the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer said.
Marcos said his latest visit to Cebu, the first after the BBM-Sara UniTeam was officially forged, has been fruitful because they were given the opportunity to meet and address the members and officials of the League of Municipalities during their Regional Planning Conference in Region 7 who in return expressed their unwavering support for the formidable tandem.
“In behalf of all the 44 mayors of the Province of Cebu, we hereby express our unequivocal support for your candidacy in the coming elections,” the mayors declared.
He said the various ‘unity rides’ in several parts of the country, particularly the “Salubong” or merging of north and south on the San Juanico Bridge last November 30, symbolizes the unity of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao that is being pushed by the unifying leadership of the BBM-Sara UniTeam in an effort to usher the country to national unity, peace and progress.
Hindi lang mga isla ang pingabubuklod-buklod ng UniTeam kundi ang buong sambayanan,” Marcos Jr. said, adding that the historic joining of forces of BBM-Sara UniTeam supporters signal the country’s triumph over the challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Only together as a unified nation shall Filipinos be victorious during and after the pandemic.
