TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Due to the lack of a barangay health facility in the past, Lanna barangay hall was used to cater the community’s health needs.
The pump well for the water system, which currently provides potable water to the community, was completed which replaced the old pump well that was broken.
According to data from the City Engineering Office, the construction of the new health center cost roughly P 700,000.00 and the pump well for the water system cost around P 300,000.00 allocated from the city’s 20 percent development fund.
Apart from the improvements that have been completed, barangay Lanna is also working on two projects at the moment. These are the improvements to the gymnasium and the roads in all of the puroks in the Barangay. The addition of bleachers and other structure for the development and aesthetics of the gymnasium was budgeted at Php 1 million pesos.
Meanwhile, a supplemental budget of Php 10 million pesos was earmarked for the rehabilitation of roads in all of the barangay’s puroks. The road constructions will provide easier access to the local cemetery, better and safer Farm-to-Market roads, and connectivity to the main thoroughfare. By Freeche W. Lacson
