As the result of the continuous anti-illegal drug operations of PROCOR, another two drug personalities were arrested in Baguio City on April 5-6,2022.
Citing the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN RONALD OLIVER LEE, the arrested suspects were identified as Froniel Jack De Guzman Basa, 34, and Eric Masegman Sacyafen, 50.
Suspect Froniel was arrested by joint operatives of BCPO Naguillian Road Police Station (PS1) and BCPO Abanao Police Station (PS7) after he sold one (1) plastic sachet of suspected shabu weighing 0.5 grams with a standard drug price of Php 3,400.00 to an operative acted as a poseur-buyer.
Meanwhile suspect Eric was arrested by joint operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and BCPO Irisan Police Station (PS9) after he sold one (1) plastic cellophane of suspected shabu weighing 3 grams with an SDP of Php 20,400.00 to an operative who acted as a poseur-buyer.
Markings and inventories of the pieces of evidence were done on-site in the presence of the arrested suspects and witnessed by the representatives from the Department of Justice (DOJ), media, and elected barangay officials.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of the respective operating units for documentation and proper disposition while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
