CAMP BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Once again, PROCOR scores anew in the campaign against illegal drugs following the eradication of over 3.8Million worth of marijuana plants in the hinterlands of Kalinga in a one day eradication last Saturday.
The joint drug operatives of Tinglayan police; Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) PRO COR, Regional Intelligence Division (RID PRO COR), Regional Intelligence Division (RIU-14), RMFB15, Provincial Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Kalinga, R2 and COR discovered three marijuana plantation sites in Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga on September 26, 2020.
During the operation, a total of 19,200 fully grown marijuana plants with a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P3,840,000.00 were uprooted from a 1,600 square meters land area.
This month’s marijuana eradication yielded a total DDB value of P24,040,000.00 composed of 99,500 fully grown marijuana plants, 1,500 marijuana seedlings and 8,000 grams of marijuana stalks.
The continuous information gathering of marijuana plantation is incessantly initiated especially in the most remote communities of the different provinces in Cordillera. “We will continue to gain success, I am encouraging the troops to maintain and strengthen partnership with the community because they are the ones who can really help us thru information”, PBGen R’win SA Pagkalinawan, PROCOR Regional Director said.
