LA TRINIDAD, BENGUET- A total of 30 scholars received their training Certificates today for completing Organic Agriculture Production NCII of the Cordillera office of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA-CAR) in a graduation ceremony held at Cosmic Farm, Beckel, La Trinidad Benguet.
The thirty (30) graduates completed the following competencies of the Organic Agriculture Production NCII; Raising Organic Chicken, Producing Organic Vegetables, Producing Organic Concoction and Extracts, Raising Organic Hogs and Raising Organic Small Ruminants.
TESDA CAR Regional Director, Dante J. Navarro, who graced the event, applauded the scholars for completing the 29 days of training through Flexible Delivery.
“TESDA takes pride in your accomplishment, which you have remarkably achieved in the midst of COVID-19. I know that Cordillerans are hardworking and skilled especially in farming so I commend your hard work and dedication to pursue organic agriculture that gratifies the demand for both food security and food safety, especially during this global crisis,” he said.
He also encouraged the scholars to join the upcoming Regional Skills Vlogging Competition of TESDA-CAR that aims to promote the programs and services of TESDA through Skills Vlogging Competition.
The ceremony was also graced by the representative of Rep. Eric Go Yap, Ms. Jirah Sidayaw, the Assistant Head Coordinator of Yap.
“To our graduates, you have the province of Benguet, as well as the entire nation, rooting for you. With your new skills, you are now better equipped to overcome any difficulty that may come your way” on a written message of Yap delivered by Sidayaw.
The graduates expressed their gratitude to their trainers, TESDA, and Cong. Yap for the scholarship benefits they have acquired during and after their training.
