CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet – Twenty one wanted individuals were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents during the intensified operations against wanted persons regionwide.
Chief Superintendent Ulysses G. Abellera, acting regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Coirdillera, said of the total number of arrested wanted individuals, five of them are included in the priority target of law enforcers for their alleged involvement in various crimes committed in the different parts of the region.
The strengthened Oplan Manhunt Charlie of the Tracker Team of PS2 resulted in the arrest of the No. 10 TMWP identified as Bong Estacio Mejia, 56, a resident at Upper Market Subdivision, Washington Apartment, Baguio City for Other Deceits. Suspect was nabbed in the morning of January 12, 2016 at 2nd floor, Hangar Building, Hangar Market, Baguio City, by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Glenda T. Ortiz, Presiding Judge of First Judicial Region, MTCC Branch 2, Baguio City.
Subsequently, three listed as No. 4 TMWP of Station 2, 4 and 7 were separately arrested.
Operatives of PS4 arrested Roman Gabriel Ticuan Pitilan, 18, a resident of Purok Magsaysay, Loakan Proper, Baguio City for the crime of Robbery with Violence in the afternoon of January 11, 2016 along Purok Magsaysay, Loakan Proper Baguio City. The following day afternoon, tracker team of SOT-CIU arrested Angeline Maliones y Abalos alias Angie Maliones, 45, and a resident of Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet in Pugo, La Union for the crime of Estafa thru Falsification of Public Document while Rose Espiritu y Arizo aliasRosie Espiritu, 56 was nabbed in her residence in Purok 5, Gibraltar Road, Baguio City for the crime of Other form of Deceits.
Judges Ivan Kim B. Morales, of RTC, Branch 59 of Baguio City recommended a bail bond of P100, 000.00, Maria Ligaya V. Itliong-Rivera, Regional Trial Court, Branch 5, Baguio City and Glenda T. Ortiz-Soriano, Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 2, Baguio City recommended bail of P300,000.00 respectively for their temporary liberty.
Moreover, in the Provincial Level, the Number 1 Lambat Sibat Target of Mountain Province for the first Quarter of this year was arrested early in the morning of January 12, 2016 in his residence in Bunot Paracelis Mountain Province. Suspect was identified as Jaime Puyao Sr., 56, farmer, charged for the crime of Frustrated Homicide with a recommended bail bond of P20, 000.00 issued by Judge Artemio B. Marrero, of RTC Branch 35, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
Further, 16 other wanted persons were separately arrested of which cases are Murder, Acts of Lasciviousness and Estafa.
The arrest of these wanted individuals is a result of the unified cooperation and relentless efforts of all PRO-COR personnel in all its undertakings in line with the directives of the Chief, PNP particularly in strengthening the LAMBAT-SIBAT.
