BAGUIO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera arrested a drug trader and his minor cohort last night at the Melvin Jones football grounds in Baguio City.
Amenodin Abdul Malik Ampaso alias Amen, 27 years old, native of Marawi City and a resident of Crystal Cave, Baguio City was collared together with his 17-year old companion for selling two heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu worth P25,000.00 to a PDEA agent.
Ampaso is now being investigated if he has links to a local drug syndicate operating in Baguio City and nearby Benguet considering that he distributes a substantial volume of dangerous drugs in his dealings.
Both offenders will be slapped with a case for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act Number 9165 otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
