TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A 45-year old carpenter and a 33-year old painter were arrested by conbined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in their possession assorted illegal drugs during a checkpoint at Talaca, Agbannawag here over the weekend.
Senior Superintendent Victor Wanchakan, officer-in-charge of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested suspected drug traders as Junior Allawigan Malabad, 45, married, carpenter; and Mr. Rod Malana Malabad, 33, married, painter, both residents of San Mariano, Isabela.
Confiscated from their possession were three cylindrically formed dried marijuana leaves, two joint blocks of hashish, a marijuana derivative, and a black 155 TMX Honda motorcycle bearing plate number 3444BW.
The arrest6ed individuals and the seized pieces of evidence brought to the Tabuk City Police Office for proper documentation prior to the filing of a case of violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehenssive Dangerous Drugs Law against them.
