2 hurt in Tuba stabbing incident

TUBA, Benguet August 02 – Two persons were injured after they were successively stabbed by a lone knife-wielding individual while they were on their way home at Palina, Taloy Sur, here, recently.

Police authorities identified the victims as Ronnie Blas Camillo, 28, single, and Mr. Glen Belit Bayangan, 17, single, student while the suspect was named as John Mat-an Manzano, 17, single, out-of-school youth all are residents of Taloy Sur, Tuba, Benguet.

Initial police investigation showed the victims and the suspect were on their way home after a drinking session when Camilo and Manzano had a heated altercation that caused the latter to stab the former on the different parts of his body.

When Bayangan tried to pacify the commotion, the suspect also stabbed him on the different parts of his body.

Concerned residents rushed the two injured individuals to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment while the suspect was arrested by responding police operatives for the filing of the appropriate charges against him.
