BAGUIO CITY – Two persons were injured after they were allegedly mauled by still unidentified suspects in front of a night spot along Magsaysay Avenue here Tuesday night.
Senior Superintendent George Daskeo, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victims as Gilbert Milliones Sibaton and Carlo Aowes Magsilao.
Initial police investigation showed Gilbert was involved in a fistfight with still unidentified individuals inside the establishment when they were pacified by the bar employees prompting Carlo to bring his companion out of the said place in order to avoid further trouble.
However, the suspects, who were seated in a separate table, suddenly followed the duo outside and allegedly mauled them until they were pacified by alert security guards.
The victims boarded a taxi and brought themselves to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment where Gilbert was subsequently confined while Carlo was later released. The suspects were able to flee from the crime scene prior to the arrival of responding police operatives.
