TUBA, Benguet – Two male cadavers, who are alleged victims of summary execution, were dumped and recovered by police operatives along Marcos highway, particularly at sitio Begis, Poblacion, here around 9:20 pm Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent David Q. Lacdan, officer-in-charge of the Benguet provincial police office, identified the fatalities as Fedilito Marcelo Damoslog, 49, married and a native of Bulalacao, Mankayan, Benguet and Chris Guevarra, a native of Atok, Benguet, who were said to be brothers-in-law.
Initial police investigation showed the victims were supposed to have gone home to Mankayan, Benguet several days ago but they never arrived home until their lifeless bodies were recovered along the national road here through the help of concerned passersby who reported the presence of two bloodied lifeless bodies on the concrete pavement.
Damoslog reportedly sustained two gunshots wound on his head and neck while Guevarra sustained a lone gunshot wound also on his head.
Responding police operatives and elements of the scene of the crime operation (SOCO) team recovered from the crime scene two empty shells of a caliber .45 pistol and one spent shell of a .9mm pistol which were reportedly used by the still unidentified suspects in the perpetration of the crime.
Probers are still facing a blankwall on the real motive behind the brutal murder of the two victims whose remains were already brought home by their relatives to their places of origin.
Lacdan called on possible witnesses who saw how the victims were taken and shot to death before their bodies were dumped along the road to help probers by providing them the vital information that would lead to the arrest of the possible perpetrators so that they will be charged accordingly and be made answerable to the crime they committed against the victims.
