TADIAN, Mountain Province – Two persons were arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on separate warrants for violation of the Forestry Code of the Philippines and the Anti-Chainsaw Act in their respective residences at Bunga, here, Monday.
Senior Superintendent Cornelio Comila, officer-in-charge of the Mountain Province Police Office, identified the arrested individuals as Noble Bai Soliken, 37, married, and Salvador Agarto Sapaw, 35, married, at Bunga, Tadian , Mountain Province, both resident of Bunga, Tadian, Mountain Province.
The two individuals were arrested by virtue of separate warrants issued by Judge Joseph Patnaan of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 36 in Bontoc for violation of the provisions of the Forestry Code of the Philippines and the Anti-Chainsaw Act with a fixed bail of P50,000 for their temporary liberty.
The arrested individuals were brought to the Tadian Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to their turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposition of the cases filed against them.
