LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Two suspected drug traders were arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents after having found in their possession alleged illegal drugs during an anti-illegal drug operation at Poblacion, Central Buyagan, here, Friday.
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, identified the arrested suspected drug traders as Nardo Agustin, 42, married, a native of Sagada, Mountain Province and a resident of Poblacion, Central Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet and Abraham Flores, 35, married, a native of Kapangan, Benguet and a resident of Banig Tawang, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Confiscated from their possession were three (3) pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing suspected “shabu” weighing approximately 13 grams with a DBB value of Php78,000.00; Assorted drug paraphernalia; Two (2) pieces cellular phone; and -bust money amounting to Php11,500.00.
The arrested individuals and the confiscated pieces of evidence were subsequently brought to the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to the filing of the charges for violation of the provisions of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law against them.
