CAMP BADO DANGWA, LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – In spite of the duty to prevent the spread of the dreaded COVID 19 virus, PROCOR intensified its manhunt operations to account wanted persons leading to the arrest of 193 wanted persons for the month of October.
Of the 193 wanted persons arrested, 37 are listed as Ten Most Wanted Persons (TMWP). Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the highest number with 77 apprehensions; followed by Benguet PPO with 46; Kalinga PPO-21; Abra PPO-20; Ifugao PPO-16; Apayao PPO-8; and finally, Mt Province PPO with 5 number of arrest. As to the TMWP, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and Benguet PPO registered the most number of arrests.
Of the arrested TMWP, the most recent accomplishment is the No.1 TMWP in the Municipality of Tabuk City identified as Argie Esteban Nalog, 25, farmer who was apprehended in the afternoon of October 31 in his residence in Sitio Mamaga, Poswoy, Balbalan, Kalinga. He has a recommended bail bond of P72,000 issued by Judge Jerson E. Angog of RTC, Branch 25, Tabuk City, Kalinga for the crime of Violation of RA 9262, otherwise known as Violence Against Women and their Children Act.
PROCOR Regional Director PBGen R’win SA Pagkalinawan lauded the operatives for a job well done however, he ordered a more intensified manhunt against WPs in the region as he reminded all those wanted persons that they cannot hide from the long hands of the law forever, “Our Tracker teams will continue to run after you at any time and any day, you can never evade forever,” he said.
