The fourth week of continuous marijuana eradication resulted in the discovery and subsequent destruction of Php 17,470,000.00 worth of marijuana plants in six different marijuana plantation sites in the province of Benguet and Kalinga from January 24-30, 2021.
In Kibungan, Benguet, joint operatives of Benguet PPO have discovered another 21,750 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants and 20 kilograms of dried marijuana stalks with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of Php 6,750,000.00.
In a separate marijuana eradication operation in Bakun, Benguet, another 42,000 fully-grown marijuana plants with an estimated DDB value of Php 8,400,000.00 were discovered by the operatives of Benguet PPO.
Meanwhile, in Tinglayan, Kalinga, joint operatives of Kalinga PPO and PDEA-CAR have discovered more or less 11,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants with an estimated DDB value of Php 2,320,000.00.
In total, for the month of January, PROCOR recorded a total of 25 marijuana eradication operations wherein a total of 223,790 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants, 117.50 kg of dried marijuana stalks, and 125 pieces of marijuana seedlings with a total Dangerous Drug Board of Php 58, 207,000.00 were uprooted and burned.
