HRAB president and BCC general manager Anthony de Leon said participating culinary professionals from the city’s only exclusive club are out to defend their title in the different culinary competitions that have been lined up during the 3-day HRT Weekend for them to have the chance to represent the city in the upcoming National Food Showdown and other similar international culinary competitions.

Last year, HRAB skipped the conduct of the annual HRT Weekend because it focused its available resources on the city’s hosting of the visit of the Miss Universe candidates that helped in promoting Baguio city as one of the country’s preferred tourist destination.

The 250-member HRAB has been one of the city’s aggressive private sector partners in helping promote the country’s undisputed Summer Capital as a must-see destination in the country because of its natural air-conditioning aside from its available scenic tourist destinations that entice foreign and domestic visitors to frequent the city.
