As the result of PROCOR’S week-long conduct of anti-illegal drugs operations, 12 drug personalities were busted and a total of Php 3,170,025.00 worth of marijuana was eradicated in the Cordillera from May, 15-21, 2022.
Based on the records of PROCOR’s Regional Operations Division (ROD), Baguio CPO recorded the highest number of arrests with six arrested drug personalities followed by Apayao PPO and Benguet PPO with two arrests each and Abra PPO and Kalinga PPO with one arrest each.
In Baguio, the arrested personalities were identified as Arjay Simeon, 25; Ibalson Cadangen, 37; Rey Christopher Abero, 38; Ronald Ellana, 33; Janewen Lui, 42; and Karlo Ibarra, 31.
In Apayao, the arrested personalities were identified as John Arian Magro, 27, and Cleo Tabbu, 40.
In Benguet, the arrested personalities were identified as Joemamel Dipatuan, 37, and, Ellaine Cariaso, 37.
While, in Abra and Kalinga, the arrested personalities were identified as Jojemar Bagni, 31, and, Gian Vincent Dela Cruz, 29, respectively.
The separate buy-bust operations conducted resulted in the seizure of a total of 18.19 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of Php 123,692.00 and the confiscation of a total of 1000.9 grams of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 120,108.00.
All arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, the continuous marijuana eradication conducted in Benguet destroyed a total of 4,350 fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) with an SDP of Php 870,000.00 and 5,000 pieces of dried marijuana leaves with an SDP of Php 600,000.00.
While in Kalinga, a total of 8,500 FGMJP with an SDP of Php 1,700,000.00 and 1,000 grams of marijuana seeds with an SDP of Php 25,000.00 were destroyed.
