ITOGON, Benguet – The No. 1 top most wanted person in Region IV-B was arrested by combined detectives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) North Central Luzon Office and elements of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in the Cordillera in a small-scale mining area in barangay Ampucao here around 1:45 pm Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Jimmy Catanes, regional chief of the CIDG-NCLO, identified the arrested wanted person as Rodolfo Supnet Ormillo, Jr., who hails from Rosario, La Union but went to join his sister in Palawan to work after the latter married a foreigner.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Nelia Yap Fernandez of the Regional trial Court (RTC) Branch 50 of Puerto Princessa, Palawwan for the crime of four counts of murder, one count of frustrated murder and arson.
Ormillo was subsequently turned over to the elements of the Palwan Provincial Police Office who came to the province to get him in order for him to answer for the crimes he committed in the area.
It can be recalled that Ormillo was involved in the brutal massacre of four members of a family in Puerto Princessa after the family whom they commissioned to make a banca for their own business did not accept the return of the same considering that it did not pass their standards.
He subsequently sought refuge in the small-scale mining community of this town in order to escape from his liability but he was not able to do so considering that he was traced by intelligence operatives.
