LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – To fast-track the delivery of public service in Pangasinan, the Provincial Government of Pangasinan led by Governor Amado I. Espino, III has acquired new provincial vehicles.
New service vehicles include: eight closed vans, one elf truck and one pick-up truck.
Specifically purchased to support delivery of supplies in the provincial government and its hospitals, the seven closed vans and one elf truck will be used by the General Services Office (GSO), while the pickup truck is to be used by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in patrolling the baywalk area here in Lingayen.
As disclosed by GSO Chief Evan Gladish P. Domalanta, these new vehicles will boost the response team of the provincial government not only in relief operations during calamities, but also, in the delivery of the medical supplies in the 14 provincial government-run hospitals.
“Meron tayong dalawang trucks na airconditioned na to assure the quality of the supplies delivered to the hospital including medicines, laboratory supplies and IV fluids,” the GSO chief stated.
Following the call of the provincial chief executive on the advancement of barangay-based programs, the GSO chief said that these new vehicles can also be used in the conduct of mobile health caravan of the provincial government dubbed: “Kalusugan Karaban.”
More than these vehicles, the provincial government is anticipating more vehicles by the end of the year, such as: two mini dump trucks, one water truck and one garbage compactor which shall be used for the maintenance of order and cleanliness of the Capitol Complex.
The blessing of the vehicles was officiated by Rev. Fr. Allen Romero shortly after the first Friday mass held at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center (PTDC).
