BAGUIO CITY – The open invitational bodybuilding championship dubbed “Mr. Panagbenga & Miss Fitness ‘18”, one of the most awaited Bodybuilding and Fitness competition, will once again be staged this March 2, 2018 at the Easter College Gymnasium.
According to perennial organizer and President of the United Bodybuilders of Northern Luzon Incorporated (UBNLI) Engr. Troy A. Mencio, the competitions, already on its 15th consecutive year, will again become part of the 2018 Panagbenga Celebrations.
Innovations of the competition this year is the inclusion of a “women fitness” competition for women bodybuilders to vie for the title of Ms. Fitness 2018 and a Male Physique Division for the title of Mr. Physique 2018, aside from the main muscle showdown and bodybuilding competition which will be participated in by local bodybuilders as well as musclemen outside Baguio City.
He also added that the competition in three divisions will feature an open division for the women’s fitness. The physique division for males will be in three height categories: Medium, 5’6” tall; Below tall, 5’7” tall; and Above 5’7” tall competitors.
The Mr. Panagbenga 2018 Bodybuilding Tilt will feature five weight categories: Novice Division, open for beginners; Flyweight Division, 132 lbs and below; Bantamweight Division, 133 lbs – 143 lbs, Light Weight Division, 144 lbs – 154 lbs; and Open Weight Division, 155 lbs. & Above.
Mencio added that the bodybuilding and fitness tilt, now one of the biggest bodybuilding and fitness competitions north of Manila, is sponsored by the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. (BFFFI) is in cooperation with the City Government of Baguio.
He also said that the over-all champion and MR. Panagbenga 2018 will be awarded Php 50,000.00, a 5-foot wood carved trophy, giftpacks and gift certificates.
Division champions will be receiving Php 10,000.00 a 3-foot Wood carved trophy, gift packs and bodybuilding supplements. 2nd placers will be awarded Php 5,000.00, 2.5-foot Wood carved trophy and giftpacks, while 3rd placers will receive Php 3,000.00, 2-foot wood carved trophy and giftpacks.
4th to 6th placers in the contest will also be awarded Php 1,000.00 a 1.5-foot wood carved trophy and giftpacks.
Aside from the above mentioned prizes, sports trunks and t-shirts that will be given to all registrants,

The use of “body paint” will be strictly prohibited for use of all contestants, only “tanning color” will be allowed.
Registration for competitors will be on March 2, 2018 from 8:00 – 4:00 in the afternoon, with registration fees at Php 1,500.00 per contestant.
