As part of the Baguio Water District’s ongoing automation program and in response to ease of doing business, the BWD transitioned to an online filing system for New Water Service Connection effective August 1, 2019 to improve its listing system.
BWD General Manager Engr. Salvador M. Royeca said customers who plan to apply for water connection may visit and complete the form found at the District’s website, www.baguiowaterdistrict.gov.ph or www.baguiowaterdistrict.gov.ph/consumer-page/new-connection-application
“This online filing scheme is part of the on-going automation program of the BWD. It aims to progressively eliminate long queues at our office, streamline the process of application, and implement alternative solutions for our customers.” GM Royeca said.
The GM however, clarified that the District will only accept online filing for the application as the process still requires the customer to submit certified true copies of the documentary requirements including the original copies for validation purposes.
“BWD requires customers to submit to the office the certified true copies of the required documents. The online filing nevertheless, intends to fast track the transactions taken into by keeping an advance record for the type of application our customers are applying for.” Royeca added.
To complete the application, customers are hereby advised to follow these easy step-by-step procedures: Go to BWD homepage www.baguiowaterdistrict.gov.ph; In the BWD homepage, choose the CONSUMER PAGE on the toolbar and click on NEW CONNECTION APPLICATION; Fill-up the online form with the necessary information and answer the questions stated within; Once complete, click on the SUBMIT menu button found at the bottom of the online form; A confirmation will be sent to the email address provided by the customer informing the success of the online filing. The documentary requirements for the application are likewise detailed in the confirmation email; Customer may submit through email the scanned or photographed copies of the documentary requirements. Once uploaded, a BWD Customer Service Representative will inform through email and/or phone call that the new water connection application may already proceed for initial inspection; An initial inspection will be conducted by the Tapping Inspector and After inspection, the Customer is then advised to submit certified true copies of the required documents (bring original for validation) and pay the corresponding inspection fee/s at the BWD Main Office.
