LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Pupils and Teachers of Balukas Elementary School received an advanced valentines gift; pet bottles, water jugs, bath towels packed with snacks and others school needs from the Laoyan Foundation on February 5, 2019.
The pupils were very blessed having one towel each, that is just timely for the cold weather, and fruits as snacks that made their day a great day, of course teachers were also given and the parents who are present in school that day were also given used clothing’s. The foundation started visiting the school since 2014 and this is the fourth time to visit the school for another love gifts. The foundation visit to the school brought hope and much encouragement to the pupils where they were given quality school bags used by pupils even at present. Early June of 2015 is another blessing to the school children when the foundation made another visit providing them complete school supplies, blankets and other forms of love gifts. The continuous support of the foundation is a great help not only the pupils but the parents as well.
The foundation being introduced by one of the member of the clan is a legacy bequeathed by the late Clemente Laoyan through his generation represented by all ages in a clan in memory of the ever love , support and generosity of their great father, the first mayor of La Trinidad, Benguet.
Of course, always, indigenous food was served in an acquaintance at the school ground. Picture taking with them and giving of simple token of appreciation completed the days activity. By MAY GARCIA DOEL
